Vision

Special educational provision means educational provision, which is additional to, or different from, the provision made generally for children of the same age in a mainstream school. At Village Primary all teachers are teachers of children with SEN and we are committed to providing the conditions and opportunities to enable any child to be fully included in all aspects of school life. Our motto of ‘Explore, Dream, Discover’ permeates our curriculum and acts as the basis for our school values. Our vision is for all members of the school community to be respected in an inclusive setting where every child thrives and meets their individual potential. Through effective teaching and learning, support and encouragement and working closely with parents, carers and outside agencies we can enable the fulfilment of each child’s potential. We provide an enriched curriculum through real life experiences which promote confidence, respect and tolerance and where children are encourage to strive for success.

Well-rounded, community ready pupils are at the heart of our ethos to ensure that children are equipped for future learning, employment and adult life. We provide outstanding care through a safe and nurturing school where children’s needs are swiftly identified and addressed through teaching designed to educate, stimulate and challenge pupils. We foster positive relationships with parents and carers through good communication, shared purpose and responsibility so that together we can build on children’s progress and achievements. Pupil voice is at the heart of all we do to empower all children to become confident, resilient and reflective independent learners.
