I am a recently retired school administrator who has a great interest in education. I live locally and want to see the children of Thornaby get the best start in life. I have many interests, mainly crafts, gardening and running. I am a very keen lace maker.
I have 2 children who attend Village Primary School, Sam who is in Year 1 and Ben who is currently in Nursery.
I am passionate about the School and helping it on its journey to become an outstanding school of choice for children in Thornaby.
I work in HR and I hope to bring my knowledge in this area along with my enthusiasm and passion to help the Governing Body support the school at this exciting time.
My name is Stephen Felgate, I am married and I have two children, my son Thomas is an ex Village school pupil, now a student at St Patricks Catholic College and our daughter Emily is currently in year Five.
I work in Social Care and have two jobs at the moment; I work for MAIN an organisation that supports young people and adults on the Autistic Spectrum and I also work with young adults with complex needs at Allensway day Centre and The Youthy, for Stockton Borough Council.
I am also currently studying for learning and support diploma at Stockton Riverside College
I enjoy activities with my family, cycling, jogging and watching sport on the TV and live events.
I am a season ticket holder at Middlesbrough F.C (for twenty years) and attend matches with my son.
